Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth has hit the headlines after an unidentified person made a bomb threat call. Reportedly, the team thoroughly checked the security guard’s cabin and area outside the actor’s house. While the search operation was on, Rajinikanth’s family members remained inside their home owing to the global pandemic. When the senior officials requested to let the police team in for checking, the actor refused to allow them in. So, the official waited for 10 minutes and left after thorough checking. While the cops declared it to be a hoax call, the actor did not comment over the issue.

Meanwhile, the police are trying to locate the caller. The cops said that this is not the first time that they received a prank call like this and they alleged that it is the same person, who had made similar threats in the past. As the news of a bomb threat given to superstar Rajnikanth made rounds on the internet, the fans took to the micro-blogging site (Twitter) to condemn the act.

On the cinematic front, the superstar, who was last seen playing the role of a cop after 25 years in AR Murgadoss’s, Darbar opposite Nayanthara, will next be seen in Siva’s, Annaatthe. Nayanthara has been roped in to play a crucial role in this family action entertainer. Besides Nayanthara, the film also features veteran actresses Khushbu and Meena.

Keerthy Suresh, too, has been roped in to play the role of Rajinikanth’s sister in the movie. Bankrolled by Sun Pictures, the music for Annaatthe is being composed by the actor’s nephew, Anirudh Ravichander, who also scored music for superstar’s last two movies – Darbar and Petta. Stay tuned!
