Most parts of the country are receiving heavy rainfall that’s triggering a flood-like situation. In Gujarat, areas like Dwarka and Porbandar have been left reeling in floods. Rainfall has been equally disruptive in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. As usual, Mumbai has been experiencing severe water-logging, while rivers have started to overflow in Uttar Pradesh, causing people’s homes and their vehicles to be submerged underwater. Moreover, rainfall is showing no signs of receding in most of these locations. The yearly monsoons have virtually turned cities into seas.

In the last 24 hours, extremely heavy rainfall has been recorded in Gujarat’s Dwarka area, where water has reached people’s houses, with streets having been submerged underwater. In Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh, a video of some residents rescuing people from a toppled vehicle has come out. In Mangaluru’s Gurupura Banglagudde area, a landslide has claimed the lives of two kids, aged 16 and 12.
