Use Your Imagination, Says Ritu
One thing we all fear is repeating outfits. However, Ritu says that we can reuse our old clothes and we should use our imagination to reinvent the style with which we wear them. There is no need to throw away dresses, you can always think about different combinations and accessories. Ritu says that if you wear red over black and then you want to try something different, you can go according to the season and may be try orange with black. Ritu says that today fashion is everything and everywhere, but one needs to be creative to be fashionable.
What Suits Best?
We want to be the most stylish person around, isn’t it? But we often get confused about what looks best on us. Ritu has shared a few points to help us out. She says that before choosing any outfit or buying any dress, consider your body structure and then choose the fabric or dress that suits it best. Don’t compete with others and don’t buy or wear something just because other people are wearing it. Ritu further adds that one needs to project their character through their clothes. Another thing she points out is that one must never forget to have a look in the mirror before stepping out, just to ensure that everything is in the right place.
Be Original, Look Unique
Ritu emphasises that one needs to be original instead of following trends blindly. Ritu gives an example from her fashion institute students. She says that she gives them designs of celebrities’ wedding gowns and dresses, and asks them to add their touch and reinvent the dresses creatively. She believes that one needs to put one’s own inputs in one’s inspirations to set new trends.
Fashion Has Many Career Options
Hailing from an Army background, Ritu stepped into the fashion world in 1995. Today, she has more than 100 fashion institutes across the globe. Ritu says that there is a lot of scope in the fashion industry. She says that if a student takes a fashion designing course, he or she can become a fashion stylist, or get into fashion retailing.
