DRDO Successfully Tested 10 Missiles In The Last 40 Days
The Indian defence research agency test-fired the BrahMos and Rudram missiles on 30 September and 9 October respectively, hence enhancing the country’s indigenous defence systems
Enhancing India’s defence capabilities further, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully tested 10 missiles in the last 40 days. The BrahMos Missile was examined on 30 September and it rendered fruitful results according to the agency. The supersonic machine, which first had a range of 300 kilometres has now been improved to reach as far as 450 kilometres.
On 9 October, the Rudram was test-fired from Indian fighter jet Sukhoi-30 off the east coast in an effective operation.
According to DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy, the organisation’s scientists have worked continuously through the pandemic and developed some of the best systems to make India a global power. He added that the Brahmos is a supersonic cruise missile that has been designed to be used by the country’s three armed forces, the Army, Navy and the Air Force. He also expressed confidence in India’s self-reliance for missiles, saying that the nation can produce quality indigenous machines.
