COVID-19: India’s Coronavirus Tally Crosses One Lakh Mark
In the last 24 hours, 4,970 people have tested positive for COVID-19, and 134 patients have died of the fatal disease.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare shared in their data that the nationwide tally of COVID-19 cases in India crossed the one lakh mark on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. More and more people are testing positive for the deadly virus in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and other states. As per statistics, there are 56,316 active Coronavirus cases, 36,823 have been cured, 3,029 positive patients have died and one has been migrated. On Sunday, May 17, 2020, the Centre extended the great Coronavirus lockdown by two more weeks until May 31, but as promised, with several relaxations. New Lockdown 4.0 guidelines have been announced by the government.
The World Health Organisation had predicted that India will see the effects of this virus on its enormous population. Now, the figure has totalled up to one lakh 1,039 cases across the country. News reported by Rangprakash Dubey testified that in the last 24 hours, 4,970 people have tested positive for COVID-19, whereas 134 patients have also died of the fatal disease.
