Covid-19: CM Yogi Adityanath’s New Plan For Aiding Migrant Labourers In Uttar Pradesh
The latest measures include delivery of relief packages, transport facilities and ₹1000 for all daily-wage workers once they complete quarantine
Considering the difficulties faced by migrant workers, the Uttar Pradesh government has come up with new methods to help them. As a means to encourage daily-wage labourers to stay in quarantine, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the delivery of relief packages and a sum of ₹1000 for all of them once they complete the self-isolation phase. Along with this, he also informed that he will arrange transport facilities for them to reach their homes after the quarantine.
Meanwhile, the USA continues to be a hotspot for coronavirus. Data suggests the death of 1255 people in the last 24 hours, increasing the total toll to 94,688! The current rate of coronavirus cases seems to grow rapidly in the country as more than 15 lakh cases have been reported. The government announced that their national flag would be lowered for the next three days as a way to mourn the loss of people.
