CM Yogi Adityanath’s Film City Plan Receives Flak From Opposition
According to the sources close to the CM, the new film city will create employment and provide actors in Uttar Pradesh a platform to showcase their skills.
On Tuesday, September 22 Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his idea of developing a special film city in the state. But this decision of building a film city received dual responses. Several opposition party leaders said that the government should focus on the increasing crime rates, COVID-19 and corruption in the state rather than building a new film city. Whereas, others supported CM’s decision by stating that the new film city will create employment and provide actors in Uttar Pradesh a platform to showcase their skills.
The Uttar Pradesh CM also met several Bollywood celebrities like actor Anupam Kher and singer Udit Narayan to discuss the project. According to news reports, the dedicated film city will help young and talented actors in Uttar Pradesh to make their mark in the Bollywood industry. Further, he even said that the new film city will overcome the shortcomings in the entertainment industry and the Indian cinema gets a new stage.
