China Planning To Eradicate Uyghur Muslims Through Cultural Genocide
Thousands of Uyghur Muslims in China are being tortured and forced to give up their Islamic beliefs.
The repression of Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang which began in 2009 has now acquired a form of genocide. Uyghur Muslims were detained by the Chinese in a so-called re-education camp where neither media nor any human rights agency was allowed. Thousands of Uyghur Muslims fled away from Xinjiang after they were tortured and harassed. Some survivors claimed that they were forced to eat pork meat and undergo abortions. They even state that they were forced to work as slaves and made to give up their Islamic beliefs in the camp. Moreover, they were made to swear their allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party. At least 435 Uyghur intellectuals have been imprisoned or made to forcibly disappear since April 2017, according to the Uyghur Human Rights Project.
In recent years, China has demolished several mosques and other religious structures of the Uyghur Muslims. Uyghur writers and publishers who tried to highlight this news were detained by the Chinese government. Clearly, China is systematically planning to eradicate the Uyghur Muslim population through unlawful means.
