The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has now issued a notice to Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut for alleged illegal construction inside her office at Pali Hill in Bandra. The office received a visit from a team of BMC officers, but the staff present there refused to accept the copy, following which civic staff pasted it outside her office. The notice has asked the office to stop the ongoing work inside the premises and produce the permissions for the illegal constructions.

“We have served a notice to Ranaut to submit documentary evidence and permissions regarding illegal constructions. If she failed to file a reply within 24-hrs we will initiate an action of demolition of illegal extensions,“ said Vinayak Vispute, the Assistant Municipal Commissioner, BMC H-west ward. The illegal construction work includes converting a toilet at the ground floor into an office, construction of kitchen inside storeroom, conversion of the balcony into a habitable area and other irregularities.
