Yet another ground-breaking performance by Taapsee in the recent past was in Anubhav Sinha’s courtroom drama Mulk. Taapsee plays the role of advocate Aarti, a Hindu girl married to a Muslim man. When all hell falls on her in-laws’ family, she stands up for and with them to ensure justice prevails. Based on a true story, this film here deserves to be watched.

After setting an image as the serious actor with her previous outings, Taapsee broke out of her shell with Dil Junglee, alongside Saqib Saleem. An easy-moving romantic-comedy, in Dil Junglee, Taapsee surprised us with her portrayal of a childlike and naive girl-next-door. Watch the film here.

We wonder what more colours and characters Taapsee will explore in the future. With all our dreams and hopes skyrocketing to see better than the best that’s out there, we wish the actor the happiest birthday!
