Bihar is expected to conduct the assembly elections in October-November 2020. However, this year the election campaigns and rallies will experience some major changes due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In a recent interview, Congress leader Ranjeet Ranjan shared her views on how the party is trying to reach out to the people by conducting virtual rallies. Ranjan said that the concept of virtual rallies has been forcefully imposed by the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government. Further, she even claimed that the ruling party will definitely benefit from this newly-formed concept of conducting rallies.

Ranjan said that the cost of carrying out digital rallies and campaigns is going to be three times as expensive. The government is unnecessarily rushing in conducting the elections as there is no proper infrastructure that will ensure that all safety measures will be practised systematically.
