Ambulance Driver In Mathura Faints Due To Poor-Quality PPE Kit
Drivers raised complaints that PPE kits are very thick which makes it difficult for them to breathe.
The Coronavirus pandemic has burdened all healthcare facilities and workers in the nation. The Indian Government is trying its level best to curb spread of the virus, however it’s still struggling to fill in the gaps. Recently, an ambulance driver from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, carrying a Covid-positive patient suddenly lost his consciousness. Fortunately, no major accident occurred neither was any casualty reported. The driver has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
Sources state that the reason behind this incident was the poor quality of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) kit he was provided with. Earlier, many other drivers have raised complaints against the poor quality of PPE kits provided by the government. They complain that PPE kits are very thick which makes it difficult for them to breathe. They have already highlighted this issue but concerned authorities have not taken any steps to resolve the issue.
