Agra Bus Hijacker Arrested By UP Police After Encounter

During the checking at Fatehabad Police Station area, the miscreants started firing on the police, while one is shot in the leg, one has escaped.

An encounter took place in the early hours of Thursday morning (August 20, 2020) between the UP Police and the miscreants who hijacked the bus from Agra. During the checking at Fatehabad Police Station area, the miscreants started firing on the police. In retaliation, a crook is shot in the leg, while another crook managed to escape from the spot. According to the police, in injured miscreant is being named as Pradeep Gupta. His name was coming up only in the case of hijack. The bus, abducted on Wednesday (August 19), was recovered from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh.

The bus with passengers which was allegedly hijacked by some miscreants from Agra was found in Etawah. However, the passengers were shifted in other buses by the crooks at different locations. A few passengers, who were shifted in a bus which was heading towards Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, were stopped at Naugaon by police. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Chhatarpur, informed that the passengers were not robbed. Agra SSP Bablu Kumar said that the incident took place on the southern by-pass of Agra.
