Aamhi Saare Khavayye: Learn To Make Chana Dal Shepu Vade

Green vegetables are healthy for our body but when it comes to consuming them then it is difficult to convince anyone to have it. While most of us don’t like the green colour itself, Methi is one vegetable which has made its way through parathas and crispy khakhras. Today our guest chef Pooja is showing us one more vegetable that can be presented as a crispy and tasty snack. Without much ado, let us learn how to make Chana Dal Shepu Vade.

  • 2 tsp shepu (Dill)
  • 1 cup chana Dal
  • 2 tsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp chopped onion
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds powder
  • 3 curry leaves
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste

  • Take a mixer container and add 1 cup chana dal, 2 green chillies, 1 tsp cinnamon, 2 cloves, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp cumin.
  • Now, grind it.
  • Take a bowl and add the chana dal mix, 2 tsp rice flour, 1 tsp chopped onion, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 2 tsp chopped shepu, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tsp coriander seeds powder, salt to taste, 3 curry leaves and 1 tsp coriander.
  • Mix it using oil.
  • Make vadis out of the mixture.
  • Meanwhile, heat oil in the kadai.
  • Deep fry the vadis in the oil and move them to a serving plate.
