Love partying? Then Walking Street is where you should be. This 500 metre stretch is where you must head once the sun sets. Post 6pm, cars are not allowed on this road and as you walk down with bars, nightclubs, go-go bars and beer bars on both sides with thumping music playing, you’ll automatically get into the party mood.

Pattaya Floating Market

2/6

This market is actually named Four Regions Floating Market. It is divided into the four regions of Thailand – north, northeast, south and central. Each part of the market sells products from that part of the country. While most stalls in the market are floating, some shopkeepers move around the canals with their merchandise on boats.

Ko Larn Island

Want to leave the hustle and bustle of Pattaya and its crowded beaches? Take a boat to the island of Ko Larn which is just seven kilometres away. It’s a small island, just four kilometres long and won’t take you long to cover. Ko Larn has six beaches which are all beautiful. If you want, you can stay over at one of its many resorts.

Wat Phra Khao Yai

4/6

This hill has the biggest Buddha in the region. The Buddha statue is 18 metres tall and is approximately 100 metres above sea level. Wat Phra Khao Yai is also called the Big Buddha Hill. Once you climb up to the top and stand next to the Buddha statue, you will be able to see all of Pattaya. The temple complex is beautiful too.

Ban Amphur Beach

5/6

Want to try the fresh catch of the day and relish some delicious seafood? Ban Amphur is where you should be. It’s a small fishing village which has a gorgeous beach with swaying palm trees. Not too many people head there so you can experience a relaxing day, enjoying some good food at throwaway prices.

Sanctuary Of Truth

6/6

Imagine a structure which is made entirely of carved wood without using metal nails. That’s Sanctuary Of Truth for you. It’s a Buddhist monument, yes. But it is also an art installation and cultural shrine. Its four wings are dedicated to Thai, Khmer, Chinese and Indian religious iconography. Want some time off in search of inner peace? Say hello to this place.
