1. A disturbing introduction

A few weeks earlier, we were introduced to a man named Murali, in the Telugu TV show Maate Mantramu. While the Telugu serial, with Ali Reza and Pallavi Ramisetty as Vamsi and Vasundhara, respectively, has given us good and bad characters over the year, something seems to be a little alarming. Let’s take a look at it.

Murali made an entry in an unpleasant manner. He stood with his arms open, on the highway, and waited for a car to come and hit him. When Vamsi tried to save him, he requested to be driven over — so that he could die a painful death. Truly, truly disturbing!

2. Easily taking offers

A little later, Vamsi asked about his problems and offered to help. Without even asking for the stranger’s name or details, Murali agreed to take money to solve his (only) problems, for which money was the solution.

3. Bad luck?

Soon after Murali sat in Vamsi’s car, they met with an accident. Although Murali managed to get Vamsi to the hospital in time, the doctors declared that Vamsi had slipped into a state of come.

4. Crossing lines of privacy

In the hospital, as Vamsi lay fighting between life and death, Murali sneaked into the room and opened Vamsi’s phone using his fingerprints. Not only that, but he also changed the password according to his convenience. Later, he even asked the doctor to refrain from informing Vamsi’s family members — since they wouldn’t be able to handle the news (if only he knew about Vamsi’s past adventures…).

5. A creep?

Murali has too many problems but he escapes from them as he indulges in a conversation with a photo frame. Whose picture is it? That’s Vasundhara — a girl he saw only once, a girl who does not know of his existence.

6. Extremely outrageous

When the television channels were ablaze with news about Vasundhara being sexually assaulted by Jogendra, Murali happened to tune in. His instant reaction, as one would expect, wasn’t shock, but extreme rage and anger towards Jogendra for ‘spoiling’ ‘his’ Vasundhara.

7. A con-man

It’s true that Vamsi promised to help Murali financially, but before he could help, he lost consciousness. But Murali did not wait for Vamsi to get better and start his life again. Instead, he apologised to Vamsi as he transferred Rs 1 crore from Vamsi’s account to his own.

What is he up to, we wonder! What do you think about Murali? Let us know in the comments below. Stay tuned to this space for more updates. For more entertainment, check out Muddha Mandaram on ZEE5.
