1. Chandrakor

The half-moon shaped design that Yesubai (played by Prajakta Gaikwad) sports on her forehead in Swarajyarakshak Sambhaji, is called the Chandrakor. This style of bindi is worn with a black straight line and a small dot, as seen in the picture.

2. Paithani

The saree that Yesubai mostly wears in the popular Marathi serial, is called a Paithani. This is a traditional Maharashtrian saree that comes with a thick border and buttis.

3. Nath

Yesubai is always seen wearing the traditional Maharashtrian Nath. Most brides today wear this accessory and it no longer is restricted to only Maharashtrian brides wearing it. The Nath comes in different styles and can be worn with any Indian attire.

4. Haar and Mangalsutra

Unlike the Mangalsutras of today that are less heavy and more modernised in style, women in the historic times wore heavy Mangalsutras, like the one Yesubai is seen wearing in the picture above. It looks like a heavy chain and has a golden pendant attached to it.

Along with this, Yesubai wears heavy golden chains that are also called as Haar.

5. Chooda

Yesubai is always seen wearing a set of green bangles, teamed with heavy golden kadas. These are called as ‘Chooda’ and are typically worn by Maharashtrian brides during the wedding and for a while after the ceremony as well.

6. Karnaphool

The earrings that Yesubai is seen wearing in the show, are called as Karnaphool. This style of jhumkas can be found even in today’s times.
