ZEE5 has been producing some excellent new original content and will launch several more titles soon. With the weekend almost here, we bring you a list of the top five of our originals you should watch before many more are released!

Judgement Day is a hard-hitting Bengali series with a sharp social message. Diya (Sohini Sarkar) and Hiya (Madhumita Sarcar) are two sisters. Tragedy strikes when Hiya gets attacked and raped by a gang of brutal goons on a visit to Kolkata. Diya, who is an advocate, takes it upon herself to avenge the criminals and bring about justice.

Sharate Aaj is a slick series created by Parambrata Chattopyadhyay and directed by Aritra Sen. The plot revolves around a group of NRI Bengalis from both Bangladesh and India, who combine their efforts to organise a Durga Puja celebration. However, their plans go awry when a group of terrorists decide to attack and disrupt the event. Starring Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Bidipta Chakraborty and a slew of other brilliant actors, this thriller drama makes for an action-packed watch.

Filter Coffee Liquor Cha is a romantic comedy starring Nishan Nanaiah, Priyanka Sarkar and Usha Uthup. Himeli (Priyanka Sarkar) is the director of a cookery show. She is unable to tolerate Subramaniam (Nishan Nanaiah) who is her flatmate. Their differences are vast, particularly their food habits (he is a Tamil vegetarian, and she is an omnivorous Bengali). A hilarious film, watch it for the twist that takes place when the TRP ratings of Himeli’s show begin to fall and Subramaniam saves the day.

Body Massage is a short film directed by Susanta Das starring Satarupa Pyne and Riddhi Sen. Chandan (Riddhi Sen) comes across a sensuous poster of a massage parlour and starts lusting after the model. A few days later, the same model, Nandini, (Satarupa) comes to live as a paying guest at his house. Discover what happens next in this racy drama.

Another short film, Shorshe Ilish, starring Indraneil Sengupta and Ankita Chakraborty, is directed by Utsav Mukherjee. It is about Abir (Indraneil Sengupta) who is possessive of his wife, Aalo (Ankita Chakraborty). He suspects that his wife is having an extramarital affair and it haunts him. Find out what the truth is in this intriguing movie.
