1. Bedtime stories

What’s a childhood without bedtime stories told by our grandparents right? We all have experienced a time where our ajji or ajoba would make us sleep in the afternoon by telling stories from Mahabharata, Ramayana or the typical prince and princess that lived happily ever after.

In a scene from Pushpak Vimaan, Tatya (played by Mohan Joshi) narrates a story to his grandson Vilas (Subodh Bhave) and it will automatically transport you back to your childhood and miss your grandpa. Call him now!

If you haven’t seen the film yet, fret not. You can watch it here.

2. Taking care of grandparents when they are unwell

It’s heartbreaking to see grandparents suffer and even harder to accept that there will come a day when they will have to go. In this scene, Vilas is dealing with such emotions, as he lies next to his grandfather Tatya at a hospital.

We bet you too must have faced such a trying time with your grandfather/mother, right?

3. Being dropped at the bus stop

When parents are busy, grandparents fill in and take care of the children. In this scene, Tatya is dropping a younger Vilas at the bus stop, and we can’t help but recall the times when our ajji and ajoba did the same!

4. Making grandparents feel at home

Grandparents have a set way of living, which is very different from the younger generation. Hence, it is up to us to make them feel comfortable and at home. In this scene, Vilas is doing the same for Tatya and we are taken back to all those times when we had to make room for our grandparents.

Do you relate?

5. Making the elderly try cool things

There’s nothing more adorable than watching grandparents take to milennial things such as Whatsapp, social media, new- age lingo etc. Here, Vilas takes Tatya to a mall and makes him get a fish pedicure. And guess what? Our Tatya loves it!

Haven’t you been in a similar situation where your grandpa/grandma has loved living the milennial way?
