1. Bommarrillu

Believe it or not! Every single person needs their share of romcoms to get through the realities of life. We all LOVE them. We all NEED them. As a wise person once said, a romcom a day, keeps stress away.  

Bommarrillu released in 2006. But till date, it remains one of our favourites. The film is the story of Sidhu and Hasini. They want to achieve things on their own and the most important element on their list ileading a happy, carefree life. The couple is much in love, but conflict arises when they decide to take the next step – convincing families for the wedding. How they do it is the plot of the film. With SiddharthGenelia Deshmukh, Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha, Sunil and other great actors, the film will have you laugh and weep simultaneously. But the ending will leave you feeling satisfied.  

2, Bruce Lee: The Fighter

Bruce Lee: The Fighter is more than a romcom. It is the story of a brother who sacrifices his studies to make way for a brighter future for her sister. Eventually, he becomes a stuntman. During one of his shoots, he meets a girl, who mistakes him for someone else. And our hero falls for her instantly. Featuring Ram CharanRakul Preet Singh, Kriti Kharbanda, Brahmanandam and Mental Krishna, this masala entertainer is what you need after a long tiring day.   

3. Happy Wedding

Despite wanting to marry on their own terms, the boy and the girl meet each other in an arranged setting. Eventually, they fall in love and agree to marry. A true depiction of a millennial couple – Happy Wedding is completely relatable. The film features Sumanth Ashwin and Niharika Konidela and will make you go from aww to same’ every now and then.  

4. Mr. Majnu

Disclaimer: Get ready to fall head over heels for Akhil Akkineni again!  

Mr Majnu is the story of a boy who only knows love. Whether he is sharing his love with a new person or the same does not matter to him. For him, relationships and flings are routine. His world turns upside down when he meets Nikky, played by Nidhhi Agerwalwho isn’t like the others. She wants a love that lasts forever, and Vikky, played by Akhil Akkineni, does not know what that means. How they find their place amidst this is the highlight of Mr. Majnu. From chasing Nikky and winning her heart to fighting his inner demons and becoming a new person, Akhil Akkineni makes Mr. Majnu  a complete package. 

5. Sailaja Reddy Alludu

All goes well when two people are madly in love with each other, right? WrongWhat is a love story without a complication? A kidnapper as the villain is just so old-school. Say hello to the heroine’s mother – the complication. As the name of the film suggests, our villain here is the central character, played by Ramya Krishnan. She introduces conflict and keeps us hooked as Naga Chaitanya tries to win his atta over. From opposing his relationship with her daughter, played by Anu Emmanuel, and trying to break the couple, she goes on to let them be together. Naga Chaitanya and Anu Emmanuel fighting against Ramya Krishnan is what makes Sailaja Reddy Alludu a good watch.
