Satellite Shankar is a 2019 Hindi action drama movie that premiered on ZEE5 on 1 February 2020, starring Sooraj Pancholi in the lead. Other actors featuring in it are Megha Akash, Palomi Ghosh and Upendra Limaye. When Shankar gets a week off from the army, he decides to rush home to be with his ailing mother. However, while enroute, Shankar decides to help a few people and is left stranded? Will Shankar be able to meet his mother and resume duty as promised? 1. Sooraj Pancholi.

Returning 4 years after his debut, this is the first time Sooraj Pancholi is playing an army soldier. Earlier seen in movies Hero and Time To Dance, in this film, the actor will be taking you on the journey of an Indian soldier, KPG Shankar, who gets a holiday from the army for 8 days. The film begins as Shankar tries to reach his family and go back to the base within a week. He comes across multiple citizens in need of help and does his best to try and save them. However, these encounters make him late to get back home. The whole country comes together to help Shankar reach his family and go back to the army base in time.

2. Palomi Ghosh.

This film also stars Palomi Ghosh (Mission Over Mars) as a blogger who spreads the stories about Shankar to the people of the country. She is excited about her job and plays a vital role in getting him back to the base in time. The film also stars popular Telugu and Tamil actress Megha Akash, making her Bollywood debut and legendary Marathi actor Upendra Limaye.

3. The interesting love angle.

Shankar meets a girl, Pramila (Megha Akash), who his mother wants him to marry, and a vlogger Meera who plays a key role in rerouting Shankar’s journey. Given that Shankar has to report back at his army base in Srinagar, how he manages to complete all the duties along the way and still manages to make it back in time, is what that keeps you invested.

4. The director – Irfan Kamal

The movie is directed by Irfan Kamal who previously worked in Krrish 3 (2013) and Thanks Maa (2019). While talking about Satellite Shankar he says, “Just like a satellite connects people through technology, Shankar.” In the trailer of the film has a dialogue saying, ‘The country which is divided by a thousand things has been united by one soldier.” We hope you watch this film and experience feelings of a similar kind.

5. The soundtrack.

This music of the film is composed by Mithoon, Rochak Kohli, Tanishk Bagchi (Simmba and Kapoor and Sons) and Sandeep Shirodkar. The lyrics are written by Mithoon, Kumaar and Manoj Muntashir. Its soundtrack includes 4 songs, namely, Aari AariTere Sang, Jai He and Pyaar Ka Satellite. The artists who have given their voice for these are; Arijit SinghRomyBombay Rockers, Mithoon, Aakanksha Sharma, Salman Ali, Rochak Kohli and Amit Gupta.
