Rich History

Arya 2 star Shraddha Das recently took some time off from her hectic schedule and is busy exploring the most popular island of Bali in Indonesia. The actor is sure to keep us all updated with the many posts, pictures and stories on her social media. Going through it, we want to pack our bags and go there, too. If you aren’t sure about it, here are five reasons why you should definitely visit the place.

Bali is one of the  13,000 islands that make up Indonesia. The main economic source of the place is tourism. While many foreigners keep travelling all year long, the locals ensure the cultural history is safe and intact. Most people in Bali practise Balinese Hinduism. And that is why you are sure to come across many beautiful temples. Ulun Danu Beratan temple, in the north, is a popular attraction and is known as the floating temple. Tanah Lot, Uluwatu temple, are other popular places. During sunset, you can also watch Kecak, which is the traditional Balinese Hindu dance performance.

Beautiful Beaches

Bali is a paradise for beach bums. It is also known to be the area that has the highest biodiversity of marine species. From white sand to blue waters, you have everything right here. Nusa Dua, Uluwatu, Jimbaran are the most popular. But there are plenty of secret beaches that aren’t listed anywhere. You can always try your luck and strike a conversation with the locals to know more. If surfing is your thing, get your surfing shorts on. Canggu, Seminyak, and Jimbaran are some of the destinations where you can schedule lessons and rent surfboards.

Incredible Wildlife

When in Bali get ready to (many) expect the unexpected encounters with wildlife. Bali Mynah is the most-spotted. Monkey Forest in Ubud is another attraction with an unpredictable and calming experience. Tropical birds, along with a great variety of marine creatures like sharks, manta rays, dolphins and fishes of all kinds will capture you. West Bali National Park is home to hundreds of species, and you must definitely visit.

Mouth-watering Food

It doesn’t matter if you are a meat-lover, vegetarian or even a vegan. Bali has something for everyone. Especially, Vegans are most welcome here, with the variety of dishes available, at every nook and corner. The food is prepared with local produce and each time you enjoy a sumptuous meal, you are helping the locals. Balinese cuisine mainly draws influence from Chinese and Indian cuisine.

Nature at its best

One thing that will not leave your site at any time, in Bali, is its lush greenery. There are many deep jungles like Banyumala. Want to swim by jumping off a cliff? Try Aling Aling. The waterfalls are endless, from Sekumpul to Munduk, Nung Nung, Git Git waterfalls, Tibumana, Tukad Cepung and many more. The list goes on. Easy or difficult, no matter what your trekking level is, you can enjoy great treks and hikes. The hike along Mount Batur, an active volcano, is the most popular.

Get your bags packing and set your holidays marked because Bali will be worth it. While you enjoy your travel, let these films on ZEE5 entertain you.
