3 Ways To Style Your Denim Jackets This Winter Like Bijoya Star Jaya Ahsan
Winter is coming. Put on a denim jacket and step out like a fashionista.
Winter is just around the corner. There is a nip in the air already. And while it never gets cold enough in Bengal to wear faux fur overcoats and the likes except in the hills, a staple like a denim jacket will work wonders for your winter wardrobe. Don’t believe us? Check out Bijoya star Jaya Ahsan, who is looking her stylish best in a cool blue denim jacket which she has paired with a white T-shirt and blue denims. It is perfect for the day, when the temperatures don’t drop down a lot and pullovers and cardigans might make you feel hot. A denim jacket is also a great way to layer up in the evening for casual dinners and hanging out with friends.
Not sure if it will go with every outfit? We have got three cool ways in which you can style your denim jacket and wear it without repeating your style statement. Read on:
“A self-coloured maxi dress paired with a denim jacket will look amazing. That will also make you look longer,” says designer Joy Mitra.
Jumpsuits are all the rage right now. For a night out, why not wear a sequinned jumpsuit and throw on a denim jacket? Add on to the retro vibes with a choker or hooped earrings. Slip into heels and you will look fabulous.
If you are out and about during the day and it gets warm, bring out the fashionista in you and turn your denim jacket into a scarf. “Throw your jacket over your shoulders and tie up the sleeves like a scarf. If you are tall, you can go with one knot. Otherwise, do a double knot so that you can show off your entire styling,” says Mitra.
Simple and easily doable, these styles will keep you going throughout winter, looking like a million bucks. However, there are also some absolute no-nos which you should keep in mind while styling. Mitra gives you some handy tips:
Things to avoid:
If you are short, do not tie the jacket around your waist. That will make you look cumbersome and kill your height.
Don’t wear long denim jackets. Wear waist length or cropped jackets to look stylish.
Even if you want to button up your jacket when you are feeling cold, leave the top buttons open and only button the lower few.
If you want to add an additional layer with scarves, you should do a lower knot so that it gives a sense of breathability and looks fashionable.
