The Yogi Adityanath government is taking strict actions against illegal encroachment practices in the state. According to the news reports, in an operation against illegal encroachment on government land, the government authorities recently demolished illegal buildings owned by gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari and others across the state. In cities like Prayagraj, Meerut, Baghpat, and Varanasi, the government authorities are demolishing illegal constructions. The officials also demolished illegal properties worth Rs 300 crores of ex-MP Atiq Ahmed and his aides in Prayagraj.

The teams demolished a two-storey lodge and other properties of Bhutto which were constructed illegally on state land. Sources also state that the government authorities also evacuated the house of Kammu, who is a former aide of Atiq Ahmad, and demolished it in the evening.
