Yami Gautam To Play A Crime Reporter In Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Investigative Drama Titled Lost

Yami Gautam announced her next film where she will be teaming up with director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, actor Pankaj Kapur and others to create a gripping investigative drama titled, ‘Lost’.

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam currently has a lot of movies in her kitty. After tieing the knot with director Aditya Dhar, in a beautiful, intimate ceremony, the actress is all set to get back to work. Currently, Yami is busy promoting her upcoming film, Bhoot Police. Meanwhile, the URI actress also took to Instagram to announce her upcoming film ‘Lost’. Read on to know more about the film and Yami’s role in it.

Set in the underbelly of Kolkata, ‘Lost’ will be helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury who made his Bollywood debut with the hit film ‘Pink’. Yami Gautam will be playing the lead in the film as a “feisty crime reporter”. The film, which is a collaboration between Zee Studios and Namah Films, is touted to be an intriguing tale of crime and drama centred around media integrity. The film will be shot at real locations in Kolkata and will go on floors by the end of July 2021.

Announcing the film on her Instagram profile, Yami wrote, “Here comes another hard-hitting and thrilling tale that`s more relevant than ever in today`s time, #Lost. Filming begins soon.” The film will feature Yami as an investigative crime reporter, hellbent on getting the truth out. Her character will be supported by some eminent actors from the industry such as Pankaj Kapur and Rahul Khanna. The film also boasts of a young ensemble including Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, and Tushar Pandey.

Talking about the film, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury said, “Designed as an investigative drama, at its core the film explores themes like commitment, responsibility, holding hands and making our world beautiful and compassionate. For me, it’s important that any film I make should have a social context and that the stories are taken from the world around us”. “‘Lost’ is an emotional thriller that represents a higher quest, a search for lost values of empathy and integrity,” added Chowdhury while describing the film.
