1. Nigooda Raatri (Horror/Thriller)

If you are a horror buff, Nigooda Raatri is your go-to serial on Zee Kannada. Having gone off-air for more than a year now, this was one of my favourite shows because of the paranormal add-ons it had. The story revolved around a family of three brothers and their parents who move to their ancestral property in a village.

However, after the father’s sudden demise, a series of unexplained events start occurring. But whether it is paranormal or man-made, forms the crux of the story. To watch all the episodes of Nigooda Raatri, click here.

2. Pattedari Prathiba (Crime/Thriller)

Next on the line-up for World TV Day was the women-centric detective show on Zee Kannada aka Pattedari Prathiba. The show was about a woman named Prathiba, who was initially a housewife but thanks to her police officer brother, she eventually becomes a full-time detective, helping mostly women, who have been wronged.

The main plot of the story was how Prathiba strikes a balance between her personal and professional life. Celebrate this show by watching it again here.

3. Oggarane Dabbi (Cooking)

One of my most favourite shows with close to 2000 episodes, was the superhit cooking show, Oggarane Dabbi, hosted by none other than Murali. Not only did this show give us many delicious recipes but time and again, Murali would invite learned men to share some medicinal and healthy recipes too.

The best thing I liked about the show was that Murali also invited individuals like you and me to the show to share their personal recipes. Not to forget the amazing goodies these home-chefs received in return. Bring out the inner chef in you by going through your favourite recipes from the show here.

4. Mr And Mrs Rangegowda

Finally, a one-of-a-kind love story called Mr and Mrs Rangegowda which focused on Rangegowda and Aishwarya as the lead characters. What is unique about this show is that it looks at the life of an illiterate man, who falls in love with a well-educated woman.

While she wants a man as equally educated as her or more, fate has other plans for them as Rangegowda’s biggest challenge is to win her heart. This fun-filled show can be watched all over again, here.
