Velocity won the toss and decided to bowl first against the Supernovas. The latter played really well in the second innings and there was a point where people thought the game was in Supernova’s hands. This especially happened after they took the wickets of Shafali Verma and Danielle Wyatt in the first two overs itself. However, the team slowed down during the middle over letting Velocity score enough runs. Supernova’s Chamari said that they have good bowlers like Poonam Yadav and Shashikala but she complimented the Velocity batsmen and added that they played really well today.

This is the main reason why the team could not take away enough runs. She added that Velocity batsmen scored many sixes which made them reach the target quicker. She said that she hopes that in the next few matches the bowlers will deliver their best. The bowlers found it difficult to bowl on the pitch according to her. But she added that the team will eventually learn from their experience and do better next time.

What happened in the match?

When the Supernovas went to bat first, Priya and Chamari managed to score 30 runs in 6 overs after which Priya lost her wicket. Later the team lost 5 more wickets and could not score big during the game. When Velocity walked in to bat, they lost their opening batsman Wyatt and later in the second over they lost Shefali. The team bowled extremely well in the second part. However, Velocity managed to beat their score with more speed.
