Women Beat Up Municipal Engineer in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh; FIR Registered
Government employees who went to investigate an encroachment case in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh were assaulted by local women.
Municipal corporation engineers who went to investigate an encroachment case in Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh, were beaten up by women. When the government employees demanded the removal of intrusion, they were attacked by local women who assembled to protest against the investigation. Although, the incident happened in the presence of policemen, in the video that is doing the rounds on social media, sees them unable to stop the women as everything took place immediately. The entire incident was reported to have taken place in the city of Shikarpura and the video of the same has gone viral on social media. In the clip, the women can be seen hitting the government employees and also using profanities to harass the officials. The heated argument resulted in the engineers to flee from the reported place. However, the women around continued to move their hands unstoppably. After the incident, an FIR has been registered against five people including the two women who were seen assaulting the engineers.
According to the local reports, municipal employees received a complaint regarding green trees being cut in the designated place where approval of construction of Anganwadi and community building had been passed. Reportedly, the entire locality filed an encroachment complaint against a family. As soon as the government officials received the complaint, they went on to investigate the matter. While doing so, engineer Gopal Mahajan demanded the removal of intrusion, which did not go down well with the family.
To retaliate, two women from the alleged family assaulted Gopal and began hitting him. In the video, Gopal can be seen leaving the place immediately to protect himself. After the entire incident went viral on social media, the Shikarpura police filed an FIR against the alleged accused family. Rajesh Dubey of the Shikarpura police station assured that severe actions were taken immediately and five people including two women were arrested for the same.
