The wait seems longer for fans and movie buffs who have been waiting for an update on RRR releases. The wait for the magnum opus has grown increasingly protracted.’ We don’t even have a date this time. ‘The makers of Roudram Ranam Rudhiram (RRR), confirming the rumour, confirmed on Saturday that the SS Rajamouli directed film will not be released on its original October 13 release date. Producers will hold off on releasing the film until all markets around the world have fully reopened.

After starting the shoot on November 19, 2018, Rajamouli and his team were only able to finish it by the end of August, owing to numerous delays and halts. Even if the halls were up and running as usual, the post-production work was unlikely to be done by early October. Furthermore, the revenue of pan-India projects that have lately been released in the halls does not inspire much confidence.

Fans waiting patiently

As the shoot was often interrupted owing to the coronavirus outbreak, the producers took sure to send out character posters, updates, and songs to keep us updated. Recently, music composer MM Keeravani released Dosti, a song dedicated to Friendship Day. The video clip featured five renowned singers crooning in five different languages and featured lead actors Jr. NTR and Ram Charan.

Two powerhouse of Telugu industry

RRR teams up Ram Charan and Jr NTR, two of Telugu cinema’s biggest actors. Fans will also get to see Bollywood biggies like Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgan will make their South Indian film debuts with the movie. The movie is a fictionalized take on Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem, two tribal leaders who waged rebellions against the British Empire and Nizam of Hyderabad.

The creators of RRR announced earlier this year that ZEE5 and Netflix had purchased the streaming rights to SS Rajamouli’s RRR. ZEE5 will then make RRR’s available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions after the film’s theatrical debut, according to the producers.
