Sonam Kapoor has always taken a strong stand when it comes to equality in terms of work opportunities, payment disparity, and more. She is known for being bold about her views and opinions. No matter how people take it, the actress always speaks her mind. And that’s exactly what she did when a reporter asked her about gender disparity in terms of payment in the Entertainment Industry. She gave a clear-cut, savage reply putting across her message very clearly.

Many actresses in Bollywood have either talked about or at least felt that there is a differentiation in pay when it comes to them vs their male counterparts and Sonam Kapoor is no different. In this throwback video when Sonam Kapoor was asked about gender disparity in terms of pay, the actress responded with sass while saying that, “I have a very controversial take on it.”

She then summed up her stand with the savage statement, “I do not work with people who do not respect me enough to give me my worth. That has always been my stand and that’s why I always work with directors and producers and companies who give me what I deserve and who give me that respect, otherwise, I always take a stand and choose not to work with them.” She also added that she’s not the right person to answer that question, but she said that she definitely believes in it.
