In the video, Jasprit was asked how he stays calm during high pressure matches such as a super over. Explaining that it is always difficult to bowl when you are in a high-pressure situation, Jasprit went on to add that even in a high pressure match, one can still create an impact. Bowler are constantly under pressure to limit runs of the opposite team and take wickets as it can significantly impact the outcome of the match, he said. His mantra for staying calm in the face of it, revealed Jasprit Bumrah, was to try to do things that are in his control.
He reveals that he tries to stay in the present by taking one ball at a time. He also states that during pressure, he first thinks about what the team requires him to do at that moment and then segregates the situation. Bumrah explains it with certain examples such as he focuses on ball by ball, or even when he is fielding he states that he focuses on that particular ball. Later, he states that segregating the things and being in the present has helped him a lot. And that is the goal he tries to achieve in every situation.
Jasprit Bumrah’s stature has grown rapidly over the years. He has emerged as India’s No.1 bowler and received critical acclaim for his performances. Jasprit Bumrah’s performances have been noteworthy due to which he appears on the fifth position in the chart of Top 10 bowlers in IPL 2020. The calm and composed Mumbai Indians bowler, Jasprit has around 17 wickets to his name in the IPL 2020 so far.
