Actor Kangana Ranaut has released a video message revolving around the bad international press for India. A furious Kangana can be seen criticizing those who are blaming the Indian government for not handling the coronavirus pandemic. In the clip, she can be seen requesting authorities to take all the necessary action against those who are criticizing the government.
Kangana Ranaut explains how every time India is targeted by other countries when in crisis. “India is shown as if its people have just evolved from monkeys to humans. They behave as if a few white people must come and make you their slaves, tell you what to do, how to behave, eat, tell you what a democracy is, whom to choose, you just don’t have the sense to do what is right. So we will tell you what to do,” she adds.
Kangana also criticized Indian personalities like Barkha Dutt, Arundhati Roy, and others who have previously passed censures on the Indian government while being on International platforms. According to the queen star, such things end up ‘ruining’ India’s image. Further, in the clip, Kangana went on to criticize a Time Magazine’s cover story.
“These people try to tell us how to run our country? Who are they? Such a large portion of America’s population was wiped out during the first wave. Everyone saw what happened in Italy. England is still struggling with the second wave. We are too. No doubt. But did anyone name and shame any minister, their democracy? ‘Choose education, this, and that.’ Who are you to tell us? We will struggle on our own and we are already,” said Kangana. In the end, Kangana makes a plea for the Indian government to take strict action against those who are defaming the country on an International level. The actor agrees that India is undergoing a crisis, but she adds so are England, America, and many other countries. She emphasizes when no one is questioning their democracy, then censures shouldn’t be made against our country as well.
