Dharma Productions finally released the poster of Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s anticipated film titled Liger. The film is directed by Puri Jagannadh and has been creating a lot of buzz amongst the audience. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday have been sharing BTS of their film’s shoot on social media for several months now. The film is said to be a mix of Tiger and Lion, Liger.
Vijay Deverakonda had been growing his locks during the lockdown and several fans assumed it was for his new look in his upcoming film. The post has a fierce picture of Vijay Deverakonda showing off his long locks. With the actor donning boxing gloves, the film looks like an out-and-out action pack entertainer. The film’s poster also revealed that Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a boxer in the film. The poster and his first look also revealed that his on-screen character has been compared to a Lion and a Tiger, which is also the reason behind the film’s title Liger.
Ananya Panday’s look from the film is not yet revealed but it is expected that she will be playing a stylish diva in the film and will be seen as Vijay’s love interest. Dharma Productions has promoted the film as its first attempt to go pan-India with it being released in five regional languages. It will release in Hindi, Telugu,Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. Ananya made her debut in Student of the Year 2. Liger will be her fourth film after Pati Panti Aur Woh and Khali Peeli. On the other hand, Vijay was last seen in the film Dear Comrade after impressing the audience with his performance in Arjun Reddy.
However, the makers have not yet revealed if the film will be releasing in theatres or on an OTT platform. With the Pandemic hitting the entertainment industry, several makers opted to release their films on the OTT platform. Where many filmmakers are planning to release their films in theatres in an attempt to bring the audience back to theatres, the makers of Liger are yet to announce their decision.
