Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal donate Rs 1 Lakh to the victims of the Arunachal Pradesh village fire.
Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal donate Rs 1 lakh for the relief of fire victims in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap and Longding districts. Varun Dhawan, who has been currently shooting for his film Bhediya in the state, did a kind gesture for the victims of the fire. He handed over the amount to Ziro’s deputy commissioner Somcha Lowang. She has been looking after the relief work for the victims in Tirap.
According to media reports, two persons, including a five-year-old girl, were burnt to death. 143 thatched houses were completely burnt when a fire broke out in a village in the Tirap district. Hearing about the same, Varun and his wife Natasha Dalal decided to offer monetary aid to the people of the village.
Varun and Natasha’s photos with Lowang were shared on Dipro Ziro’s Twitter handle, which also featured photos of actors Kriti Sanon, Abhishek Banerjee, Amar Kaushik, and others from the team of Bhediya.
According to reports, the tragic incident occurred at Longliang village. There was no fire tenders aid in relief efforts as it was a remote location. The cause of the fire is not known yet. “An elderly person, who was bedridden, and a girl were charred to death. The deceased have not been identified,” officials said in a statement to PTI.
On the work front, Varun Dhawan will be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo and Bhediya. Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Bhediya is a comedy-horror film helmed by Amar Kaushik. Bhediya cast also features Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal, and Abhishek Banerjee. The film is the third installment of Vijan’s horror universe, the first being Stree, starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, and the second being Roohi starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Bhediya is expected to release in theatres on 14 April, next year.
