US Elections 2020: Countdown To November 3 D-Day Begins
Two days to the US election results, a combination of the final vote count with the American electoral college system will determine the 45th president of the United States of America
With just two days to go for the results of the United States presidential elections, President Donald Trump and Republican candidate Joe Biden are completing their last leg of electoral rallies. While Trump visited Iowa and Michigan, Biden addressed potential voters at Philadelphia in Pennsylvania.
In his signature red cap that displays ‘let’s make America great again’, the 74-year-old president expressed confidence in coming back to power. An extremely crucial state for him, Trump promised his Michigan followers new jobs in the automobile sector if he gets his second term. He further mocked his rival aspirant, calling him a dummy and telling the cheering crowd that Biden’s coming to power as president means China taking over the US.
In his Iowa rally, Trump hailed his government for working for the benefit of the corn-growing farmers of the state and creating agricultural markets in Japan, South Korea and Europe.
Biden, on the other hand, honoured the Coronavirus protocols while running his last leg of campaigns in Pennsylvania through a drive-in-rally. He urged his supporters to vote for him in order to restore democracy in the country and wipe out the lies and fake promises of the Trump administration.
While popular polls have showed Biden in the lead, the Electoral College of America, which consists of 538 electors from the fifty states and Washington, D.C, still has the power to change the course of the results.
