UP Vidhan Sabha: Opposition Set To Bring Up Law & Order Situation Today

Day two of the Monsoon Session of Uttar Pradesh’s Vidhan Sabha will commence today and the opposition is all set to bring up issues regarding the law and order situation in the state. The Monsoon Session of UP’s Vidhan Sabha is being conducted amidst precautionary measures and with various COVID-19 protocols in place. All MLAs, MLCs and staff on duty have had their coronavirus tests done before they were allowed into the building.
Amidst expected attacks from the opposition, the Uttar Pradesh Government will be looking to pass more than 12 bills that are to be tabled in the session. The law and order situation in the state of UP has been grim these past few months, with various shocking incidents of crime coming forward. The most shocking among them all was the entire Vikas Dubey saga that saw the gangster’s men killing eight policemen and the launch of a state-wide manhunt. After being captured, he was killed in an encounter, according to the police.
