UP CM Rings Bell At Bombay Stock Exchange After Lucknow Municipal Corporation Bond Gets Listed

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) bond was listed at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today morning in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who rang the bell to mark the occasion. Announcing the same through the CM’s official Twitter handle, the statement said that the listing will mark the beginning of a new chapter for the development history of UP. The post further said that the LMC bond has witnessed an astounding oversubscription since its launch. The civic body raised 200 crores by issuing municipal bonds based on the foundation of private placement.

Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow expressed his happiness over the success of the bond, adding that it shows the faith of the investor in the financial discipline of Lucknow’s municipal authorities.

The UP CM is on a two-day tour of Mumbai where he is expected to meet several business personalities including N Chandrasekaran of Tata Sons and Niranjan Hiranandani of the Hiranandani Group. Last night, Adityanath met with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar to discuss the latter’s upcoming movie Ram Setu. Apart from this, the politician will be meeting a delegation of film makers today to discuss his ambitious Noida film city project.
