Deva and Parvathi’s death has changed Akhilandeswari. Here’s how the character played by Haritha transformed post the show’s leap.

The top Telugu serial Muddha Mandaram has introduced us to some memorable characters. One of the classic characters of the Telugu TV show is the lady who heads the family and is its decision maker — Akhilandeswari, played by Haritha. Recently, the show witnessed a 20-year leap and although it introduced us to newer characters, we had to bid goodbye to our favourites Deva and Parvathi.

It is a known fact that Akhilandeswari loved her Pedda Babu, Deva, more than everyone else. Before the leap, Akhilandeswari had to witness her son and daughter-in-law burn to death. And this incident surely caused damage to the unconditionally loving and caring mother that Akhilandeshwari is. After their death, she became a new person.

Initially, Akhilandeswari was the lady who managed family and business affairs powerfully — all on her own. She believed in treating everyone with love and respect. Akhilandeswari, before the leap, was panicky but smart enough to find solutions to all problems. She wouldn’t let a single mistake go unattended. The way Akhilandeswari dressed was a symbol of her prowess. She wore colourful sarees, styled her hair in new ways, embraced jewels and smiled like she owned everything.

Now, since the Telugu show has gone through a leap, we get to see an entirely new side of Akhilandeswari. Now she is barely talking to people around her. Krish, who is the last living memory of Deva and Parvathi’s love, is all that matters to Akhilandeswari now. The same woman who would let people be on their own has now started to draw boundaries for the people she cares about. From a ray of sunshine and happiness, she has been turned into a ‘tigress’ to her family.

Witness this change in Akhilandeswari on your own in Muddha Mandaram. If the Ghattammaneni family makes you happy, you can check out the funnier Kakarla family in Maate Mantramu on ZEE5.
