They Are Insulting Farmers: PM Modi Lashes Out At Congress Workers For Burning Tractor At Rajpath
Vehicle was set on fire as protest against farm bills passed by Indian Government.
PM Modi has once again spoken in defence of the farm bills passed by the Indian Government recently. The Prime Minister was speaking after the virtual inauguration of six projects related to the Namami Gange mission in Uttarakhand when he chose to attack the opposition with regards to their stance against the farm bills. “These people are now insulting the farmers by setting fire to the goods and equipment that the farmer worships,” he said, apparently referencing the incident of the burning of a tractor at Rajpath by protestors, some of whom were members of the Youth Congress.
PM Modi also said, “These people are neither with the farmer nor with the youth and nor with the soldiers. Today, even when the central government is giving the farmers their rights, these people came down to protest. These people want the farmers of the country could not sell their produce in the open market.” He added later, “The country is seeing how some people are protesting just for the sake of protest. It has become a habit of these people to oppose everything that is happening for the country. The only way of their politics is opposition.”
