An episode of the Malayalam serial Pookalam Varavayi is unimaginable without the presence of Saptathi (Arathy Sojan) and Samyuktha’s mother, Parvathy. Veteran actress Rekha Ratheesh essays this interesting character, who is known for her kindness and sacrificing nature. #1 Parvathy adopts Nithya as her daughter

During Nithya’s engagement with Abhimanyu, Sharmilla stays adamant in not approving their engagement during the absence of Nithya’s parents. Parvathy and Yatheenthran find out that Nithya is an orphan and ask the swami if they can adopt her. With the swami’s approval, Parvathy and Yatheenthran adopt Nithya as their daughter to help her marry Abhimanyu.

#2 Parvathy begs for Sharmilla’s approval

Sharmilla’s plan starts to work out when Nithya disappears during the marriage ceremony, leaving Abhimanyu without a bride. Due to this, Sharmilla orders everyone to stop the marriage of Harshan and Saptathi. One of the most emotional moments comes when Parvathy starts begging to Sharmilla for approval as she wants a good life for her daughter Saptathi.

#3 Yatheenthran and Parvathy find Nithya’s letter

Parvathy is someone who upholds kindness as her strongest virtue. Yatheenthran finds a letter from Nithya at his doorstep and calls Parvathy to tell her about the same. Instead of cursing Nithya for complicating Saptathi’s life, Parvathy prays for her safety. Parvathy also tears up as she was unable to see Nithya before she left.

#4 Parvathy welcomes Sharath

As Sharath tracks down Samvrutha’s house for his case files, he intends on letting her parents know about the situation. Sharath is welcomed by Parvathy to their house. She asks him about the purpose of his visit. She learns about his worries and also offers him support to find the files. Sharath’s heart melts with the display of affection from Parvathy as she even promises to pray for him.
