The ever-popular and dynamic British actor since 2001, Edward Thomas Hardy turns 44 today. He has been a pick of choice from various directors who needed a strong character to have a chiseled physique.

Tom has been constantly adapting to the roles that he fit into. From the beefy ‘Bane’ in Dark Knight Rises (2012) to the post-apocalyptic ‘Max Rokatansky’ in Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) to playing ‘John Fitzgerald’ in The Revenant (2015), Tom Hardy has fit into them all so perfectly.

He also seemed to be one of Christopher Nolan’s favourite picks too. Apart from Christian Bale, Hugh Jackman, Michael Caine, and Johnny Depp, Nolan had chosen Tom Hardy for three of his famous movies. Under Nolan’s directorship, Tom was featured in Inception (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), and Dunkirk (2017).

If all goes well, he could also be replacing Daniel Craig to become the next 007 agent. It is said that Tom is a potential actor who could be the next successor after Daniel Craig’s final run as James Bond in the upcoming ‘No Time To Die’.

Hardy has been part of several spectacular films ever since his debut with ‘Black Hawk Down’ (2001). His on-screen charm has never failed to appeal to his fans all over the world, with special reference to his antagonist roles in The Dark Knight Rises and Venom.

Although his recent film ‘Venom’ received mixed response,  director Andy Serkis could show promising results for the upcoming ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’ which is scheduled for release this October.

Not limited to movies, Tom has his hands in many pies. Series is one of them! He has been actively starring in several series under the genres of drama, historical fiction, crime drama and docuseries. His fan base had always been growing ever since his performance in the ‘Peaky Blinders’ series took off in 2014.

Tom is also a biker with an appreciation for good motorcycles, as his posts on Instagram suggest. Happy Birthday, Tom!
