What makes Prime Minister Narendra Modi so popular is a subject that is well corroborated by his list of achievements, ever since he came into power in January 2014.

To fight the increasing unemployment due to the coronavirus, Modi had introduced the Rs 20-lakh crore Aatmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan package to aid small and medium businesses and the poor sections of the society.

Yesterday, the PM helped 8.5 crore farmers by transferring Rs 17,000 crores to their accounts, under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund.

His accomplishments also include the criminalization of the Triple Talaq, revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, winning the rights to construct the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and surgical strikes on Pakistan.

Lately, his stand on China has been very strong over the increasing tensions at the border, with the Chinese troops breaching into the Indian territory.

Over concerns of security, the government also banned 69 Chinese apps in india.

In fact, Russia had recently delayed the delivery of the S400 missiles to China, who the latter suspect was a result of Indian government’s growing friendship with the former.  India’s defence capabilities on the other hand have been enhanced, with the arrival of the powerful Rafale jets from France, last month.

Several initiatives including the New Education Policy (NEP), Swachh Bharat Mission, the Garib Kalyan Yojana and the newest decision to stop importing key military items over the next five years, shows the PM’s confidence in making India a self-reliant country.

While the opposition struggles to create new controversies around his leadership regularly, the 69-year-old Prime Minister is unstoppable in his endeavors to take India to unscaled heights.
