‘Thalaiva’ Rajinikanth honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke award

Rajinikanth honored his eldest brother Sathyanarayana Rao, transport teammate and buddy Raj Bahadur, his admirers, directors, coworkers, and the Tamil folks for their unflinching support over the past five decades in his victory speech.

Rajinikanth dedicated the renowned Dadasaheb Phalke Award he earned on Monday at the National Film Award show in Mumbai to his guru and late filmmaker K Balanchander. The superstar, who has long been a matinee star and is known as ‘Thalaiva’, received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Indian cinema history’s greatest rank for such a performer, for the year 2019.

Rajinikanth honored his eldest brother Sathyanarayana Rao, transport teammate and buddy Raj Bahadur, his admirers, directors, coworkers, and the Tamil folks for their unflinching support over the past five decades in his victory speech.

He is overjoyed to get this prize, and He wants to express his gratitude to the government for this distinguished Dada Saheb Phalke Award. He dedicates this honor to his mentor, K Balachander sir, and he thanks his brother, Sathyanarayana Rao, who is a father figure in his life, for instilling tremendous ideals in him.

Raj Bahadur is a pal, driver, and transportation colleague of his. He recognized his potential and urged him to pursue a career in film. All of his movies were filmmakers, technicians, performers, marketers, press, journalists, and all of his followers, as well as Tamil folks.

Rajinikanth has been dubbed ‘including some of the finest sons of our wonderful country’ said Vice President Venkaiah Naidu. During his speech, the vice president referred to Rajinikanth as a talented entertainer representing south India, not one of south India, saying the legendary artist has provided outstanding performances in movies like Sivaj and Bhairavi.

Thalaiva has continued to impress audiences with his flair, elegance, and unique on-screen appearance from his 1975 breakthrough with Balachander in Apoorva Raagangal, Bila, Moondru Mudichu, ChaalNaaz, Hindi titles Hum, Bhagwaan Dada, Kaala, Enthiran, and now the forthcoming Annatthe.

Thalaiva had put his aspirations to enter election results on hold in December. Inside a U-turn, the megastar said that he will not run for office due to his declining health.
