Team India’s historic win against Australia at the Gabba has been the talk of the town since January 19th. The team effortlessly won the test series with a 2-1 tally and also remarkably became the first team in 32 years to beat the Aussies at their fortress. Former Indian cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganguly, and Yuvraj Singh amongst others took to social media to express their thoughts on the phenomenal win on Tuesday. Celebrated players Syed Kirmani and Kirti Azad also spoke about team India’s latest achievement and highlighted that this young Indian team has a bright future waiting for them. They also mentioned that it was a proud moment for the entire country and the exceptional bounce-back after the first loss must be appreciated.

Here is a look at the ZEE5 video with Syed Kirmani and Kirti Azad’s bytes related to the recent Gabba win:

Former cricketer Syed Kirmani was in awe of the game played at the Gabba on Tuesday. He spoke highly of the players and said, “I think this has been the most spectacular win for India with all the experienced players in the injury list and with all younger players who have taken their places. It is a superb opportunity they have capitalized on.”

Kirti Azad, on the other hand, is very proud that the future of Indian cricket is in responsible hands. He said, “Nine of the players were not a part of the current Indian team. Some of the players were simply in the team to play role in the bowling lineup. It is fun to watch the performances put forth by these players on the ground. This is the future of the Indian cricket team. Even the players sitting on the bench have so much strength that they can carry the team even if celebrated players like Virat Kohli, Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Muhammed Shami, are missing from the team. These players have immense capability and passion to stand up and win in even such tough situations.”

Kirti Azad also expressed how proud he is of this new Indian team. He highlighted the challenges they faced and said, “So I am very delighted that this is the future Indian team. These players went ahead like a pack of lions. They even faced racial slurs at the Australian stadium while the Australian press put their spirits down by tagging them as the ‘B Team’. But I do not agree with any one of them. These are our players; they are the future of Indian cricket”.
