As Delhiites continue to breathe 'poor' quality air and layers of smog are observed in the Capital, the Yamuna river sees a consistent layer of toxic froth floating over it. Local residents admit to having breathing difficulties.
Delhi's air quality turned toxic at various places with the beginning of stubble burning in neighbouring states and was recorded in the 'poor' category.
As the air quality in the national capital region continues to deteriorate, close to 700 cases of stubble burning were reported from Punjab and Haryana.
