SVAMITVA Scheme 2020: PM Modi Launches Property Cards
The country has taken another major step towards an AtmaNirbhar Bharat, as this scheme helps in making rural India self-reliant, said Narendra Modi.
on Sunday (October 11), Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the physical distribution of property cards under SVAMITVA scheme, saying the move will make rural India “self-reliant.” “The beneficiaries now will have a right, a legal document of owning their houses. The country has taken another major step towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat, as this scheme helps in making rural India self-reliant,” PM Modi said at the video conference event. The PM said 100,ooo beneficiaries have turned up from Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
These 100,000 beneficiaries have been handed over the legal parts of their houses and promised to give such property cards to every household in the next three-four years in every village of the country. Sunday also marked the birth anniversaries of social reformers and politicians Jai Prakash Narayan and Nana Ji Deshmukh, whose portraits were visible in the background as Modi spoke. Taking on the opposition, Modi said that those who do not want farmers to become self-reliant are having problems with the reforms in the agriculture sector.
