Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Supreme Court To Hear Rhea Chakraborty’s Plea

Actress Rhea Chakraborty had filed two petitions with the Supreme Court after Sushant Singh Rajput’s father filed an FIR against her and her family.

The next hearing of Rhea Chakraborty’s plea in the Supreme Court in Sushant Sushant Rajput death case will be held today (August 13). The actress had filed two petitions with the apex court after the late actor’s father Krishna Kishore Singh filed an FIR against her and five others, including her family members. In her first plea, filed on July 29, Chakraborty sought transfer of the investigation of the case from Bihar to Mumbai, In the second plea, filed on Monday (August 10), she said that the media is unfairly holding a trial and calling her guilty of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The first hearing was held at the Supreme Court on August 5 and the second hearing was held on Tuesday (August 11). In the first hearing, the Centre had told the Supreme Court that they have accepted the Bihar government’s recommendation to transfer the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). However, the CBI cannot start its investigation until the Supreme Court gives its nod. Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer said that the actress was “in love with the deceased” and is “under trauma” after his death.
