Following some chats in Rhea Chakraborty’s phone on drug dealings, the NCB will investigate the narcotics angle in the case.

After the shocking revelation of a possible drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has also joined the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for a simultaneous probe.

In in a series of the now viral WhatsApp chats, Rhea Chakraborty’s close friend Samuel Miranda had informed her that the drugs were almost over. In another conversation between Chakraborty and her manager Shruti Modi, the former says that Sushant has quit weed a day back and has agreed to take his medicines.

The Jalebi actress’s lawyer responded to these fresh allegations, saying that his client has never taken any illegal substance in her life and she is ready to undergo blood tests to prove the same.

Meanwhile, Sandip Ssingh, who has all this while claimed to be the Kedarnath actor’s close friend, is also under the CBI scrutiny. Call records reveal no communication between him and the late actor for a year. However, on the day of Rajput’s death, Sandip had called the ambulance driver thrice and once again on 16 June. The deceased film star’s family also raised doubts on why the so-called friend visited the hospital.

Politician Subramanian Swamy has asked for Sandip to be probed on the narcotics matter.

The CBI interrogated Siddharth Pithani, Keshav, Neeraj Singh and Deepesh Sawant together. They were all present in the house when Sushant was found dead. The Chhichhore star’s chartered accountant Sandeep Sridhar was also quizzed by the agency for over five hours.
