Sunny Deol To Return As The Iconic Tara Singh In Gadar 2, But There’s A Twist!

The legendary film ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’ is all set to get a sequel as the makers crack an idea for Gadar 2. The story will revolve around Tara Singh striving hard to get his son Charanjeet Singh back from Pakistan.

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, a super hit, romantic, period, action film released in 2001, and still holds a special place in millions of hearts. The film broke many records and won several accolades. Everything about the film, right from its plot, actors, action sequences and even its music was loved by one and all. Over the years, a lot of demands have been made for a sequel. And now, looks like the makers are ready for a sequel as Gadar 2 seems to be in the cards for director Anil Sharma.

 

According to reports, director Anil Sharma, who is currently working on Apne 2 with the Deol clan, has finally struck an idea for Gadar 2. Although he doesn’t have a script of a concrete storyline yet, Sharma has a one-liner idea for his film which is, “Tara Singh returning to Pakistan to bring his son, Charanjeet Singh, back.” Post the wrap up of Apne 2, Sharma will be working on developing the story further for Gadar 2.

Sunny Deol will be seen reprising his iconic role of Tara Singh. Whereas, various rumours are doing rounds on who will play his son, Charanjeet Singh’s role. While no official announcement has been made yet, reports do claim it to be Karan Deol. There have been no updates on who the leading lady will be for Gadar 2. However, fans are excited to know whether Ameesha Patel will be reprising her role of Sakeena in Gadar 2 or not.
