One of the oldest universities in Scotland is now embroiled in a scandal. Saddening news was reported from University of St Andrews in Scotland where 20 students alleged that they were sexually assaulted and raped on campus by members of a US-style fraternity body. The news came into limelight after an anonymous page on Instagram named St Andrews Survivors reported this incident. The page is not affiliated to the university.

After receiving complaints from dozens of women alleging that they faced sexual misconduct in the university, several members of the fraternity were immediately suspended. The university also stated that currently, their primary objective is to support those who have raised complaints. They have instructed the victims to register a police complaint. Moreover, the university will now conduct compulsory sessions on sexual consent for the betterment of students.
